Portland 'cross racer dies after being hit by truck

A Portland 'cross racer died after being hit by a garbage truck on Monday. He was a popular bike shop employee and had just finished 3rd in the singlespeed Cross Crusade race on Sunday. The truck overtook Brett Jarolimek, who was riding in the bike lane in the early afternoon, and made a right turn when the collision occurred. The garbage truck was being driven by Bryan Lowe, who has a record of 25 convictions for speeding, driving without a license, failure to obey a traffic signal and other traffic violations. The driver is apparently still driving the garbage truck after the incident. WTF?!?!?!
