...looks to be adequate for riding until I get a new one, which could be God knows how long, since it has to travel from Italy to Australia to here. This was turning out to be a good excuse to get a BMC SL01 Road Racer, but we can only place one order a year, so I wouldn't get it until next spring sometime. Alas. At least I was finally motivated to get the poor Surly ready to ride. Salt + steel = bad.
