This is interesting. Right after racing Opus yesterday, my workout today felt super strong. It was the same workout as last Saturday, which came after a rest day even. Did I feel stronger because I'm improving that quickly, or because I benefited the next day from a good leg stretcher? Or was it just a good day? The charts below tell the story. Not only were the intervals stronger (more watts), but I recovered more quickly between the intervals (heart rate came down further and more quickly). I wasn't completely gassed by the last interval, unlike the previous workout. This is all fascinating stuff for a nerd like me.
