Brake shoes pads rubbing your fork or seat stays?

It just so happens that the knurled nut that comes on inner tubes is the same threading as brake caliper bolts. Voila, problem solved! This was really vexing me, since both the fork and seat stays are carbon. Plus the additional problem that the brake arms wouldn't open wide enough to allow the inflated tire through without giving the wheel a good whack.
