Milk and cookies

Final Opus was last night, and although the tonsilitis was pretty much gone, my quads were still sore from Sunday! This was an awesome race, because we had cookies and milk thanks to Brett, Buzz and Ray! It was even awesomer because Drew, Brett and Danno scored points, and I followed through on my goal of not getting dropped in the 4 race. I got dropped last week because of my ninja prime, so I decided not to burn that match and see if I could hang on. I'd even dialed in my shifting, and took off the water bottle cages last night (it's hard to drink going 25mph in a tight pack anyway!). As it was the last couple of races, I was able to move up to a good position for the primes, but just didn't have it when it came down to the sprint. Was the second Opus just a fluke? I hope not, and my training is ramping up so hopefully I keep improving up to CX season.
__It was good to see Buzz at the race. He brought the milk, and it was also good to see that his dog Saigon was doing well after being attacked by a pit bull!
__After the women's race started it looked like there wouldn't be anyone in the 1-2-3 race, so some of us went back to registration to sample one of Drew's homebrewing friends' beer. Turns out Tyler showed up to race, so we missed that.
